Fleet River Bakery – Holborn

Located at one end of Lincoln Inn’s Fields is Fleet River Bakery. It is a corner cafe with seating outdoors and around the side of the cafe. There are a few window seats and additional seating on the lower level.

On the wooden counter, the salads, quiches and frittatas are on display. Even though these are served by the staff, it is a shame that they are open by the area where people queue. It would be so much better to have the food covered or behind the counter.

Adjacent to this area, the counter extends to the fridge containing sandwiches, paninis and big cream filled scones. There are cakes galore on the shelves along the back wall. These include cookies, brownies and also gluten free cakes.

Whilst I was at Fleet River Bakery, a fresh frittata had just been cooked. It looked of good quality along with all of the other cooked food.

There is an extensive range of teas, coffees and iced drinks. The coffee collection counter is separate to the till paying counter. The white decaffeinated Americano was served in small white cup. The coffee itself was good but the soya milk looked like it had curdled some in the coffee.

Fleet River Bakery was extremely busy at lunchtime with queues coming out of the door. The staff served the customers promptly. All in all Fleet River Bakery is a nice cafe with its fresh quality products.
