Pascal – Oslo

A rainy morning meant a breakfast nearby to our residence. What could be better than trying out Pascal; a bakery that is well known for its products.

The Pascal bakery is decorated with a red theme. High stool window seats are the cosy seating area. The counter along one side showcases the beautiful cakes, pastries, breads, sandwiches, macarons and chocolates.

It was very tempting to try one of the cakes. They all looked pretty and special. But it seemed a bit early in the day, so a pastry was chosen instead.

Crispy, flaky filo pastry layers surrounded the juicy apricot. Each bite was savoured as it was such a perfect pastry. Small streusel biscuits were dotted around the top. It has to be one of the best pastries ever had. It was not too sweet either.

Pascal had a calming atmosphere with customers all enjoying their coffees and treats. Soft music played in the background. The cafe was clean and the staff were very friendly.

It was an absolute delight to start the day at Pascal. A wonderful bakery that excels in its high quality patisserie items.
