3 Oceans – Finchley

An afternoon tea with an Indian twist is what 3 Oceans provides. Gone away are the traditional scones and in come the vegetable samosas.

Lakorn Thai – Angel

Lakorn Thai is an average Thai restaurant close to the Sadlers Wells Theatre in Islington. The food is not outstanding nor is it bad.

Chimichanga – North Finchley

A mid week Mexican lunch meant a visit to Chimichanga. The restaurant is really spacious and has the booth seating on a raised level at the back. The interior is made up of large stone arches and large wooden posts.

The Highgate Pantry – Highgate

The Highgate Pantry has a big display of tempting sweet things in its window! Cupcakes, fruit tarts, macaroons, fruit crumble slices, egg custards and the list goes on! An afternoon filled with tea, cake and the girls brought us to this bakery! We were spoilt for choice so we decided that the only way around that was…

The Cuban – Camden Town

For a lively Friday night out with the combination of tasty food and some dancing, The Cuban will not disappoint. The Cuban has the hip location of being in The Stables part of Camden Market.

The Blue Legume – Angel

The Blue Legume has never been noticed by myself, the many times that I have walked along Upper Street. It has a unique characteristic blue aubergine-like vegetable artefact as part of its sign.

Mezza Express – Camden Town

Just a short walk away from Camden Market is Mezza Express. It looks fairly normal from the outside. But once inside, it’s a different story.

Spaghi Pizzeria Ristorante – Archway

Spaghi is a lovely local Italian restaurant. It is situated on the busy island opposite Archway station. But once inside the restaurant, the traffic can barely be heard.

Base – Hampstead

As soon as you enter Base, there is the counter fridge displaying lots of tempting food. Some of the food is inside the fridge and some is placed openly on the top. The food has a Mediterranean influence with dishes including roasted vegetables, couscous, quiches and salads.
