As it was a week of ongoing celebrations, this meant that there were a fair amount of meals out. On this particular evening, we decided to stay local and opted for The Sitara.

Yauatcha – Soho
For Chinese New Year this year, we were lucky to have our family member from overseas in town for it. To make it an extra special celebration, we went to Alan Yau’s Michelin-starred Yauatcha restaurant in Soho. This finally fulfilled yet another one of my dreams and that was to go and dine at a Michelin-starred restaurant.
Euphorium Bakery – Angel
Euphorium Bakery is an extremely busy and popular one. Heading here on a weekend, it was pretty full, even though it had seating on the ground level and additional seating on a lower level too. It seemed like it was one of those places that if you saw an empty seat, you should grab it, otherwise it would get taken up fairly quickly.
Bouga – Crouch End
Entering through the grand entrance of Bouga makes you feel like you’ve been taken into a whole new world. There are the colourful lanterns hanging from theĀ ceiling, welcoming sofas and chairs with scattered cushions and little alcoves displaying various ornaments.
ASK – North Finchley
After a fun afternoon of bowling with friends, we definitely had worked up an appetite. ASK was conveniently located next door to the bowling place, so it seemed like an easy option to go to.
Mishkin’s – Covent Garden
A big thank you goes out to my friend who introduced me to Miskin’s just before the Christmas break. He suggested trying this new restaurant when we decided to have a festive catch up.
Madam Chi Coffee Lounge – Angel
It is refreshing to have a coffee lounge that is open late into the evening and it’s all thanks to Madam Chi. At least you can go here and not have to worry about the time.
Papa Del’s – Highgate
Two huge wooden tables and long benches make up Papa Del’s communal dining area. ThereĀ are also a few window seats.
Konoba Varos – Split, Croatia
Konoba Varos has to be my favourite restaurant that we went to on our Croatia trip. Again, it was tucked away on one of the back streets but this didn’t mean that it was any less busy.
