The Tapas Tree Restaurant- Shipley

It was a little daunting to introduce the family to a new cuisine. Personally, I am a big fan of Spanish food but I wasn’t sure if my mom would like it, even though she said that it would be fine.

Hiba Express – Holborn

Hiba Express always seemed to me that it was a takeaway place. This is the impression that I got from its name or maybe because at a quick glance, it looks like a really small eatery. But this is definitely not the case. It is a proper restaurant and it also does takeaways.

Giovanni Rana Ristorante- Regents Place

Catching up with friends is always specialĀ even if it is only manageable at times for a weekday lunch. Hence, for this lunchtime, it needed to be somewhere central.

The Gate – Angel

Sometimes, we take it for granted when we live close to our friends. The regular meet ups, popping over to each other’s houses and going for that cup of tea. But when they move away to a different area, then it makes us realise how much we miss those casual get togethers.

Joe Allen – Covent Garden

If you didn’t know that Joe Allen was along this very small quiet side street, it would not be the obvious place to look for a restaurant. It is hidden away from the all the main restaurants in Covent Garden.

Two Brothers Fish Restaurant – Finchley

When both my friend and I said to other people that we were going for fish and chips in Finchley, all the people independently asked if we were going to the very well known Two Brothers Fish Restaurant.

Dolcetto – Angel

As you walk up Chapel Market, Dolcetto is a great unexpected find. The atmosphere is warm and it is one of those places that looks inviting and makes you want to go in.

Cafe VN – Farringdon / Clerkenwell

There is something truly comforting about a hot steaming bowl of pho. The combination of the thick rice noodles, the broth and the vegetables is perfect.
