The Hayloft Restaurant, Boycott Farm – Stowe

A year has passed by fast and with another bambino in our group, it was that time of year for an annual outing with friends. After a wonderful morning at the National Trust Stowe Landscape Gardens, an Afternoon Tea was our indulgence. A short drive from the gardens, Boycott Farm was the where the Hayloft…

Andronicas World of Coffee – Covent Garden

If you are looking for this coffee shop, then do not expect to see a sign saying Andronicas outside of it. Instead look for a neon lit Espresso Bar sign in the window. After a lot of time walking up and down Floral Street several times and getting blank responses from neighbouring shops when asked…

Caffe Concerto – St Paul’s

What a wonderful surprise when my dad came to visit me one weekend! It was the perfect opportunity to take my dad out for an Afternoon Tea; something that I had wanted to do for a long time. With the location of Caffe Concerto in the shadow of the magnificent St Paul’s Cathedral, what better…

Amico Bio – Barbican

January is here and it is one of my favourite months. A lovely way to start the new year was with an Afternoon Tea! Afternoon Tea at Amico Bio was something a little different as it was a vegetarian one with an Italian twist. Amico Bio is a family run vegetarian restaurant that offers organic,…

Tempus Restaurant at Hotel Russell – Bloomsbury

The outside of Hotel Russell always reminds me of something that you would see in an American movie. There is something about the grandness of this hotel, especially at Christmas time when it is decorated with big red bows. The building overlooks Russell Square.

3 Oceans – Finchley

An afternoon tea with an Indian twist is what 3 Oceans provides. Gone away are the traditional scones and in come the vegetable samosas.

Brooklands Brasserie & Bar – Weybridge

Our Afternoon Tea started off with a choice of teas. We had the classic English Breakfast which was served by the pot. Next came our lovely sweet delights of homemade scones and selection of cakes.

Lobby Lounge at Montcalm Hotel – Marble Arch

Montcalm Hotel has utilised the lobby into an afternoon tea area! It also has a restaurant towards the back of the lobby. There were big flower displays including vases of orchids. It was a little chilly as the seating is next to the main entrance of the hotel.

Mauve Lounge at Swissotel The Howard – Temple

The Mauve Lounge is so spacious and has luxurious purple seating. There are huge wall sized windows which contributes to the light and airy atmosphere. It’s nice that the “Mauve” theme is displayed through all the décor.

English Tea Room at Brown’s Hotel – Mayfair

If you want to go for a traditional English Afternoon Tea, then you must try the Tea Room at Brown’s Hotel. It is quite formal and an excellent treat for a special occasion. This venue and its Afternoon Tea was awarded the “Top London Afternoon Tea 2009” by the Tea Guild.
