New World – Chinatown

Originally, Soho was our place of choice for a Sunday lunch and meet up. But the eatery that we had in mind happened to be closed on Sundays.

Feast on the Hill – Muswell Hill

Feast on the Hill is a place that I’d been meaning to go to for a while but just never got round to it. So when a friend suggested meeting there one weekend, it was the perfect chance to go try the place out. As it was a bright sunny Spring like day, there were…

Bakfickan – Stockholm (Norrmalm)

Bakfickan is located inside Stockholm’s Royal Opera House. Before entering the restaurant, I’m not totally sure what I was expecting, maybe something quite big and formal.

Mori- Marylebone

A tea house on Marylebone High Street is what Mori is. They have the counter/shop at the front and at the back is the seated cafe area. It has a light and airy feel and the cafe area is made up of beige furniture.

Busaba Eathai – Bloomsbury

Busaba Eathai is one of those restaurants where it is like communal dining and you share your table with strangers. There are big wooden tables and long bench like seating. It has a warm decor and atmosphere created with the contrast of the wooden furniture and the orange lighting. The restaurant was decorated with tea lights and Buddha statues.

Browns Bar & Brasserie – Angel

Browns feels more like a restaurant but you can go here just for drinks. There are wicker seats near the window, seats along the bar, and then there’s the big dining area. It has quite a nice relaxed atmosphere with its jazz music softly playing in the background. The atmosphere is also created by its soft lighting and dark wood decor.

Sperun – Split, Croatia

It’s always good to get recommendations from the locals on where to dine when you’re in a new city. Just like many other visitors in the city, we would have most likely have gone to one of the tourist hot spot restaurants along by the seafront. But we were told about Sperun, which was only a few minutes walk from the seafront.

Megan’s Delicatessen – Chelsea

Megan’s Deli is the perfect place for a Sunday brunch. This café is small and cute and has small seating areas over a couple of floors. What makes this café special is if you head down the steep stairs, it opens out into a little outdoor garden area.

Ping Pong – South Bank

Just before the Christmas holidays, we were lucky enough to be taken out for dinner by our friends from Digital Tribe. It was a fantastic evening at Ping Pong filled with amazing food, good company and a great atmosphere.
