What stands out from our dining experience at 54 was the absolutely fantastic service that we experienced. It felt like the staff really went out of their way. It is not very often that you feel so welcome in a restaurant.

Mrs Morengo’s – Soho
Nestled in the heart of Soho is this lovely cake shop. Mrs Morengo’s is a small cafe made up of only a few white tables and pink cushioned high stools. There are quite a lot of cakes, some displayed in the window, others along the side shelf and the rest by the main counter.
La Tasca – St Christopher’s Place
The striking orange walls, bright colourful cushions and wall artefacts make La Tasca have a warm and rustic feel to it. Being at La Tasca would definitely brighten anybody’s day.
Esarn Kheaw – Shepherd’s Bush
Thai cuisine is one that I am very fond of and I can never resist a good Thai meal. Unfortunately, Esarn Kheaw was a huge disappointment. Apart from the friendly staff, we really did not enjoy our meal and time at Esarn Kheaw.
Pizzeria Topolino – Bol, Croatia
Pizzeria Topolino has the perfect seafront location. As you dine in the outdoor terrace of this restaurant, you have beautiful picture perfect views of the gorgeous coastline. A lot of time could easily be spent relaxing at this restaurant, enjoying the views.
Base – Hampstead
As soon as you enter Base, there is the counter fridge displaying lots of tempting food. Some of the food is inside the fridge and some is placed openly on the top. The food has a Mediterranean influence with dishes including roasted vegetables, couscous, quiches and salads.
New World – Chinatown
Originally, Soho was our place of choice for a Sunday lunch and meet up. But the eatery that we had in mind happened to be closed on Sundays.

Bakfickan – Stockholm (Norrmalm)
Bakfickan is located inside Stockholm’s Royal Opera House. Before entering the restaurant, I’m not totally sure what I was expecting, maybe something quite big and formal.
