Chocolate Week and The Chocolate Show

For all you chocolate lovers out there, from the 12th-18th October it is Chocolate Week! Chocolate Week is in its eleventh year and you can make the most of it this year by going to The Chocolate Show. Highlights this year will be a chocolate factory, celebrity chefs, a chocolate fashion show, artisan producers, a dessert gallery and plenty more sweet offerings!

Lateral – Madrid

The great thing about tapas is that you can have as many or as little dishes as you want. A snack was needed to tie me over so a couple of things were ordered at Lateral.

Feng Sushi – South Bank

A beautiful blue flower painted wall grabs the attention at Feng Sushi. Along with this, there are two fish tanks that contribute to the calming atmosphere.

Sprinkles Gelato – Finchley Road

Even though it was fairly early on in the day, when friends got together, ice cream was on the agenda. Sprinkles Gelato looks like an American diner with its red cushioned booths.

Rocca – Bradford

It was super special when the whole family was able to get together and go out for a meal. Rocca was the perfect place. It gave us good quality food, lovely staff, superb service and a wonderful dining experience. It made us feel like going out for dinner was a special occasion.

Number Twelve at Ambassadors Hotel – Euston

Afternoon Tea at Number Twelve started off with the presentation of a tray of neatly arranged tea pyramids. The Tea Forte teas ranged from the classic English Breakfast and Earl Grey to fruit green tea and also herbal camomile and mint teas.

Pho – Farringdon

There is only one thing that had to be tried when visiting Pho and it had to be the Vietnamese national dish of the noodle soup, Pho. Don’t get me wrong, there were plenty of other items on the menu that sounded just as tasty such as the vermicelli noodles Bun, broken rice Com Tam and the various starters.

Hiltl – Zurich, Switzerland

Hiltl is known for being the oldest vegetarian restaurant in Europe and has been run by the Hiltl family since 1898. The restaurant is deceiving in size; it is a lot bigger than it looks. There is a huge buffet area with over 100 different varieties of food with flavours and cuisines from all over the world. In addition to this, Hiltl provides an A La Carte menu.

Yumchaa – Goodge Street

For those of you who enjoy tea, you will be spoilt for choice at Yumchaa. At Yumchaa, it is all about the loose tea with signs saying “No tea bags, no tea baggage and no tea bagging” and “Drink loose leaf tea”.
