Lauderdale House Cafe is situated in the tranquil Waterlow Park. Lauderdale House is a grade two heritage house. It has a wonderful gallery with changing exhibitions.

 

All of the food is fresh and of a high quality. The catering group of Lauderdale House Cafe is Pink Food. They pride themselves on sourcing local and high standard ingredients. There is a range of hot and cold foods including breakfast, lunch, soups, bagels, cakes and snacks. They have food and drinks for a range of dietary requirements. All of the cold food and treats are behind the covered glass display.

The latte was of a good size and the tea was just right. It was nice that hot milk was given when requested. The two dairy free milks that they offered were soy and oat. A crusty and fresh baguette filled with ham, cheese and mustard was the toasted sandwich. Tasty fries accompanied the toastie. This made for a satisfying lunch,

The interior of the cafe is spacious and the decor has a spring like feel. It is kept clean. The staff are friendly and accommodating. They don’t rush the customers in any sort of a way.

There are lovely views of the garden and of the gallery, whether sitting indoors or outdoors. If you are there in the summer months, it is a bonus to enjoy the fragrant rose crescent garden area in the park.
