Bibigo – Angel

Even after reviewing many eateries, it’s exciting to come across a cuisine that has not been tried before. Bibigo was my first experience of Korean food and it was perfect. It felt like a high end restaurant.

Bliss Lane Tea Room – Flore

Motorway journeys can be good at times but it can depend on a varying number of factors. Even though the motorway service stations have improved over the recent years, they are not the most exciting of places.

Sawmill Cafe – Stratford

When one member of Rate My Bistro gave a surprise visit to the other, the only thing for it was to go out for cake and coffee! At last, we got to go to Sawmill Cafe together especially after one of us had been saying what a wonderful cafe it is and that it would easily become a favourite.

Le Trimaran – Nice, France

A mother and daughter team seemed to be running the fantastic creperie Le Trimaran. They were constantly busy with not a moment to spare. In between taking orders, clearing tables, washing up and making the food, they gave such good service and were friendly.

Caravan – Kings Cross

Birthdays are always good to be celebrated but sometimes the organising of such an event can require some time. Hence together with a friend, we decided to plan a birthday dinner for a close friend. Originally Grain Store was suggested but as it was fully booked even though the booking was tried to be made a few weeks before the event, the next option was Caravan next door.

The Waiting Room – Whetstone

A slightly different take on a cafe, The Waiting Room teams itself with its small home furnishing store. The Waiting Room is a really cute cafe adorned with fairy lights, dressers lined with lamps, frames, tealights and flowers.

Shimla Spice – Shipley

Shimla Spice looks quite decadent with its flocked wallpaper, ornate silver mirrors and little lights covering the ceiling. It has the banner in the window stating that is the Best Indian Restaurant in England 2013 from the English Curry Awards.

Roti King – Euston

Down a random side street near Euston is the place to get authentic Malaysian and Singaporean street food. Don’t let the look and the size of the eatery put you off in any way.
