Getti – Piccadilly

Getti is a mediocre Italian restaurant. I would not say that the food was outstanding nor was it bad.

Bluebird Cafe – Chelsea

Bluebird Cafe makes up just one part of the Bluebird Courtyard, which includes the cafe, restaurant, shop and bakery. It has a lovely outdoor seating area with the heaters to stop you getting chilly.

Bakko – Muswell Hill

Bakko is a fantastic family run Turkish restaurant which serves food of the highest quality. There were so many things on the menu that took my fancy. It finally came down to a choice between some mezes or a main dish. I chose a few of the hot mezes so that I had some variety in my meal.

Gourmet Pizza Company – South Bank

Gourmet Pizza Company looks like a beach hut and it may not be exactly next to a beach, but it has the River Thames on its side. The actual location is in Gabriel’s Wharf on the South Bank.

Reun Thai – Hammersmith

As soon as I entered Reun Thai, I was taken aback by the friendliness of the staff. It is quite a small restaurant and was decorated in earthy tones. The wooden chairs were comfortable as they had seat cushions.

English Tea Room at Brown’s Hotel – Mayfair

If you want to go for a traditional English Afternoon Tea, then you must try the Tea Room at Brown’s Hotel. It is quite formal and an excellent treat for a special occasion. This venue and its Afternoon Tea was awarded the “Top London Afternoon Tea 2009” by the Tea Guild.

Tex-Mex Experience – Fulham Broadway

Tex-Mex Experience was discovered when we were trying to escape from a very rainy evening in Fulham! Initially, we went into the Fulham Broadway shopping centre to take shelter from the rain and then realised that there were restaurants in the building. Another enlightenment was the fact that it was actually time for dinner and…

Med Kitchen – Angel

For some unknown reason, Med Kitchen has not been one of those places that I have wanted to try. I’m not sure why this has been the case for so long. But I’m so glad that we went to this restaurant and gave it a go. We really did have such a pleasant dining experience at this particular Med Kitchen in Islington.

Carluccios – Covent Garden

This is Carluccios flagship restaurant and it is spread over two floors. The entrance and interior reminded me of a grand home. It has high ceilings, stone floors and a big spiral staircase. We were seated on the upper level, which looked like the private dining area. There are huge windows that overlook the surrounding streets of Covent Garden. It felt like we were dining in a stately home.
