The Oak Tree Restaurant – Cotswold Wildlife Park, Burford

Having a big get together with friends is always harder than one thinks it would be. Everyone has their own schedules and weekends get booked up fairly fast. After fifteen years of first meeting each other, and now with some of the friends having children in tow, we managed it.

Down To Earth – Kensington High Street

Away from the busy shopping end of High Street Kensington and just after Holland Park is where Down To Earth is located. Down To Earth is an organic vegan and vegetarian cafe serving organic food, fairtrade coffees, speciality teas and ice cream.

Maison D’Etre – Highbury

After missing several events that a friend had organised, I had to put a date in the diary and meet up over coffee. It had been narrowed down to a choice of two locations, either somewhere near Spitalfields or near Highbury.

Recipease – Notting Hill

It seems like we all go through phases with certain things and that can happen when it comes to going out to eat. There are times when similar types of eateries are gone to.

Cafe in the Crypt, St Martin-in-the-Fields – Trafalgar Square

A lovely Saturday afternoon visiting the National Gallery with my friend involved introducing her toddler to the wonderful painting of Whistlejacket. This huge oil on canvas painting of the young horse by George Stubbs is one of my favourites and always seems to impress me, no matter how many times I see it.

Amico Bio – Barbican

January is here and it is one of my favourite months. A lovely way to start the new year was with an Afternoon Tea. Afternoon Tea at Amico Bio was something a little different as it was a vegetarian one with an Italian twist.

Salts Diner – Saltaire

Often when things are on your doorstep, then for some reason, you don’t visit them. This was the case with Salts Diner located in Salts Mill. It’s always great to have the quality time out with my dad. This time we thought that we may as well stay local and hence headed down to Salts…

Ciampini Cafe du Jardin – Rome (Spanish Steps)

Just at the top of the lovely Spanish Steps is Ciampini Cafe du Jardin. At first as we were walking past it, we noticed that it had a big outdoor eating area decorated with lots of greenery.

Kipferl – Angel

For something a bit different, head to Kipferl, situated in the quirky Camden Passage. This Austrian/Viennese cafe has a relaxed feel to it. The cafe area is at the front and the small restaurant area is at the back. The cake counter divides the two areas. The restaurant area is casual too. There are a few seats outdoors.
