Old Chang Kee – Covent Garden

on

Old Chang Kee is famous for their Singaporean Curry Puffs. It is a super place for lunch or a quick bite to eat. All of the curry puffs are on display in the covered counter. Other items available are rice dishes such as Nasi Lemak and Rendang; noodle dishes like Laksa; fried chicken, curries and also sweet and savoury hot snacks.

It had to be the Chicken Curry Puff with Egg on this occasion. Flaky crispy pastry filled with delicious chicken curry and hard boiled egg. There was plenty of chicken and potato in the curry puff as well as just the right amount of sauce. It was mildly spiced. This curry puff was absolutely delicious.

Old Chang Kee is a small place. There are only a couple of tables and a few window seats. There is seating outdoors too. The staff are so lovely and friendly and don’t rush diners.

Old Chang Kee is definitely worth a visit and we’ll sure return to have some of their other tasty sounding dishes.
