An early movie meant that was plenty of time for dinner afterwards. Around Swiss Cottage, there seems to be a limited amount of places to dine. Most of them are more towards Finchley Road such as Zizzi and Sprinkles Gelato.

La Ruche de Bijenkorf – Utrecht
After a wonderful walk along the canal front, there was the hope of coming across an enticing cafe. But all the cafes that were come across looked small and busy. So it was decided just to head to the train station and see where the adventure would go.
South West Bistrot Ramblas Lounge – Toulouse
At certain times of the year, the South West restaurant is closed and the same menu is served in the sister eatery of the South West Lounge.
Dishoom – Kings Cross
What can be better than seeing a movie with friends? When it then becomes a dinner outing to complete the day. Luckily for us, Kings Cross has an array of restaurants including Dishoom.
Pasticceria Mennella – Naples
By making the most of the bright blue sky sunny day with a gorgeous walk along the Lungomare, the morning coffee was missed. It was worth it though as beautiful views of the castle and Mount Vesuvius were taken in. A walk around the Chiaia and Santa Lucia district allowed a stop of at Pasticceria Mennella.
Cafe Diglas – Vienna
In the historic area of Vienna and only a short walk away from the magnificent St Stephen’s Cathedral is Cafe Diglas. The cafe is quite quirky with regards to its decor.
Appestat – Angel
Appestat has a rustic feel to its cafe. There are big wooden tables, bench like seating, window seats and cosy sofas. The area at the back is where most of the seating is. There is a lively atmosphere contributed by the music.
Vete-Katten – Stockholm
Vete-Katten has been around for over 90 years and is a well established cafe. A friend described it perfectly by saying that the entrance counter area is like a normal cafe. Then as you walk through the various seating areas and rooms, it is like walking through a big grand house through the generations.
Federale – Lugano
As Lugano is situated close to the Italian border, it does feel like you are in Italy and not in Switzerland. It still has the beautiful views of the mountains and lakes. There are plenty of piazzas, fountains, quaint streets, restaurants, gelato places and shops that make up Lugano.
