This bistro doesn’t look all that from the outside but once you enter, it is a different story. It is very clean and the waiters dressed in black suits sets the tone for this bistro.

We stumbled across this bistro while wondering around the Jardin du Luxemburg area and what a find it was. They do the best pain aux raisins and pain au chocolat, very buttery and flaky pastry.

Candid Cafe – Angel
This is a surprising little cafe tucked away from the busy Upper Street and City Road. The cafe has an outdoor courtyard area but to actually get to the indoor cafe, keep climbing the narrow stairs till you reach the top.
Bettys Cafe Tea Rooms – York
The heart of York city centre is the location for this renowned tea room. The decor is nice and it has the feel of an established tea room.
Sable D’or – Muswell Hill
This French patisserie is a fantastic place to go at any time of the day, especially for breakfast. This is when the croissants, pastries, breads and cakes are all freshly baked.
Cafe Laville – Little Venice
This is a romantic little cafe which has beautiful views overlooking the canal. Perfect for a sunny day! The coffee and tea were good, with the tea being served by the pot. Soy milk is available.
