Situated just up from the Stradun (the main street of the city) in Dubrovnik in the Old Town, is Konoba Moskar. It was our first restaurant that we dined at on our Croatia holiday.
Konoba Moskar had lovely outdoor seating on the quiet street with wicker style chairs. The waiter was really friendly and dealt with all our queries about the food quite thoroughly.
The vegetarian dish that I chose was called polenta peasant style. It’s not a very enticing name for a meal but I thought that I’d give it a try. The waiter did explain that it did not have any dairy products, including cheese, in this dish.
The polenta was nicely cooked and it came with lots of vegetables in a tomato sauce. It was ok but nothing amazing. The vegetables were chunky and included aubergine, courgettes, sweetcorn, peppers and onions. Other items on the menu included fish, steak and chicken.
Konoba Moskar was an average restaurant which was slightly expensive for what it was.
