The Botanist has lush greenery indoors and also in the outdoor seating area. There is a striking pretty floral mural on one of the walls. Dining areas are segmented with plants. The staff were good on the whole and service was efficient.
The coffees were great and the decaf Americano was served with plant milk. A bonus was that they came with Biscoff biscuits on the side. The Botanist chicken burgers were had all round. They were presented on a wooden board. These hearty burgers were full of flavour and bursting with the fillings and chicken. Crispy chicken was topped with melted cheese, jalapenos, ranch dressing and pickles, all encased in a burger bun. The burgers came with a side of chips. Nothing beats a good chicken burger and chips.
For the kid’s meal, the breaded chicken fingers were chosen. These came with peas, chips and a little salad. It was quirky how the chicken and fries were in a metal spade. The meal was all contained in a tray. The chicken was tender and tasty. The fries and peas made for good sides.
The only qualm that was had was when the dessert was asked for the kid’s meal, the staff told us that it was not part of the meal deal. This was untrue as it was included in the kid’s meal and hence we missed out on the dessert.
