Greek Spice Mackerel


The mackerel is coated in a lemon and herb blend. It is then baked in the oven.

Recipe (salt free, oil free):
Serves 1,

Greek spice mix:
Garlic powder – 1tbsp
Dried basil – 1tbsp
Dried oregano – 1tbsp
Dried parsley – 1tsp and 1/2tsp
Dried rosemary – 1tsp and 1/2tsp
Ground nutmeg – 3/4tsp

Mackerel fillet, cut in 3 pieces – 1
Greek spice – 1tsp
Lemon juice – 1tsp

Oven temperature 180°C
Mix the lemon juice with the Greek spice. Coat the mackerel in the spice mix. Place the fish and marinade in a baking dish. Cover and bake in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes, until the fish is cooked.
